Goal Designing:
Designing your Goals:
- Once you have set your vision/goal, you know where you need to go to.
- Its very important to find out where you are and where you need to go.
- Check all the constraints/distractions you might face.
- Create a Plan (identify all the areas you need to work on and put them in plan).
- Execute the plan, as simple as that.
- Create an imaginary compass which will point you to the higher goal. (to reach to a higher goal, we will go through smaller goals, and while we are indulged in those goals, we always have to be aligned with the higher goal).
- Ask your compass everyday, are you going in right direction or not?
- if needed, do course correction.
- Celebrate every small achievement.
eg. If someone graduated from college and has a vision to become a CTO of Big Tech Giant.
below are the important traits required for that job:
Constraint: Can spend only 2 hours for next 20 years on daily basis.

Good thing is - "Everything can be learned !!"
Once Knowing the required targets, the smaller goals can be setup and a plan can be created.
Personal Leadership and Technical Ledership, lets say a plan can be set for personal and technical leadership for first 5-7 years.
Next, People Leadership can be focussed and a plan for 5-6 years can be setup.
Plan and Execution:
Higher goal consists of of multiple smaller goals. set the smaller goals in a way that they are aligned with higher goal.
Each smaller goal should have an execution plan, and the execution should be broken on a ONE DAY granularity.
Everyday, allocate dedicated time for your plan.
You can even start with 30 minutes every day, but be consistent with it and results will be amazing.
Everyday, check with your imaginary compass, if you are aligned with your higher goal or not.
Reflect upon yourself weekly, and do course correction if needed.
Once a smaller goal is achieved, or lets say weekly goal is achieved, celebrate that.
And remember, Your commitment should be like
